HOW TO BUY GUIDE

Buying and building at The Tillage has been designed to be a stress free, authentic and transparent experience. By releasing a limited number of blocks at a time, we can ensure that our attention is with you.

 

1. LOTS OF LOOKING (SOME TALKING TOO)

To begin, we encourage all interested parties to have a look at the Masterplan and the blocks currently available for sale. If the lot you are interested in is not currently for sale, register your interest so you can stay in touch with all future land releases. At times, it may be easiest to speak with our sales team to discuss lot availability and pricing.

Our sales team can also help to choose a lot that suits for your lifestyle or budget, so please feel free to call or email them.

2. IDENTIFY A SOLICITOR THAT YOU WISH TO USE

You may have a Solicitor that you have used previously that you wish to use again, Family and Friends may recommend Solicitors to you or you may simply wish to locate a local Solicitor firm via a google search.

This can be as straight forward as contacting the firm concerned and asking about their fees, remember don’t forget to ask about what disbursements may be payable.

You will need the Solicitors contact details for the next step.

3. CONTACT OUR SALES TEAM TO COMPLETE SALES INSTRUCTIONS AND PAY DEPOSIT

Completing the Sales instruction requires your full name, address, phone number and the Solicitors details. This is simply an instruction for your Solicitor to begin preparing a Sales Contract.

The $1,000 deposit will form part of the 10% required for the exchange of contracts. This deposit is refundable if you do not proceed to an exchange of contract within 10 working days.

This payment will mean the lot can be removed from the Sales listing, providing time for you to make your initial enquiries.

Contact the Sales Team via telephone 1300 00TILL and complete the Sales Instructions over the phone. The deposit can be paid either via Bank cheque or EFT.

Our Sales Team are also able to forward bank account details via email, if you wish to make the payment via EFT.

Please ensure EFT payments clearly state as a reference ‘#(Lot) Tillage & Your Name’

4. DISCUSS LOAN/BORROWING OPTIONS WITH YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

This may be an appropriate time to contact your bank or financial institution to begin organising finance for a construction loan. While we don’t require evidence of their approval, it may help to give you peace of mind before completing your purchase.

5. ARRANGE A MEETING WITH YOUR SOLICITOR

We recommend you organise a time to meet your solicitor. This will give you an opportunity to discuss independent legal advice on the Sales Contract terms and conditions.
